As Oscar is one of the most prestigious awards so does its champagne hued carpet. Just like entertainment, the 95th Academy Awards certainly did not disappoint us in the fashion sector. This year, LA’s Dolby Theatre narrated everyone’s personal style from romantic volume to sleek modernity.
From Ana de Armas’s pale neutral Louis Vuitton to Danai Gurira’s Jason Wu black gown the oscar was full of elegant surprises. The south Asian beauties also took over the carpet with silver sequined gown and black LV. We can’t keep our eyes off from voluminous gowns in silk taffeta, notably a pair of Valentino gowns seen on Stephanie Hsu and Florence Pugh. And if we don’t talk about Cara’s crimson Elie Saab, it’ll be such an injustice. Several stars like Cate Blanchett and Brendan Gleeson were seen wearing blue ribbons to call attention to the UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, which coordinated the #WithRefugees ribbon as an emblem of solidarity with refugees forced to flee their homes.

Her Bulgari high jewels, which included a Serpenti choker encrusted with 62.85 carats of white diamonds, added the perfect splash of sparkle, while her smoky eye and slicked-back hair completed a head-to-toe look that had everyone talking on social media.

Nobel laureate and short documentary film nominee Strangers at the Gate’s executive producer Malala Yousafzai cherished the glamour of Oscar 2023 with her custom silver sequined gown by Ralph Lauren, accessorised with jewels by Santi and Fred Leighton.

This year The Academy Awards embraces pale and neutrals. A lot of celebrities went with a pure bridal look, so did the singer of Oscar-nominated song “Applause” , Sofia Carson. Her Audrey Hepburn-inspired look by Giambattista Valli Haute Couture has spread a sense of elegance. Her draped silk-chiffon crop top with twisted cutout bodice, paired with an asymmetrical waist ball-gown skirt. The neckline was perfect for showcasing a high-jewellery necklace by Chopard, featuring seven octagonal-shaped emeralds totaling 122.49 carats, surrounded by 92.57 carats of white diamonds, all set in Fairmined-certified white gold are an epitome of sophistication.
Florence Pugh in Valentino Haute Couture

“It’s a bit romantic and a bit punk,” explained by the actress herself. Florence Pugh in her empire top in greige-hued silk taffeta highlighted dramatic sleeves and a floor-length overskirt by Valentino Haute Couture looked stunning. While her Tiffany & Co diamond jewellery stepped up the game with it’s resemblance the curves of an orchid.
Rooney Mara in Alexander McQueen

Rooney Mara was another attendee who chose a soft and elegant pale look with her chic off-the-shoulder design by Alexander McQueen, which was tied at the back, creating an unusual, but very pretty, silhouette. Her look was completed with sleek, centre-parted hair and simple strappy Jimmy Choo sandals.
